The adventure starts today. Well, getting to the adventure starts today. My daughter Sarah and her husband Matt are driving me to Burlington where I’ll meet up with John and they’ll have a little VT vacation. I’m so grateful to them because it’s a great time saver for me. I don’t have to pack the bike in a box to fly, and all the other logistics.
Especially helpful as this has been quite a week with volunteer work for the Ironman 70.3 and Dana’s first Tri. She was pulled (kicking & screaming) from the swim for a medical issue. Very disappointing for her, but I watched her do the work to get there and she did the full course 4 times, and only missed this once. She’s an Iron Gal in my book! My Timex partner: takes a licking and keeps on ticking. She’ll be trying again I’m sure.
Tomorrow, John & I will start the trek to Montreal. John’s been on the road from California since April, and I’m humbled that he asked me to join him on this venture.
